One week plus

We've been here more than a week now and time has really flown by. As Kim mentioned before the house is great and we really like it, everyone has been really friendly and helpful.

Driving on the Left side hasn't been that bad, shifting is easy for us as we are both left handed. Driving only gets unnerving in congested areas and sometimes when you are driving fast as people walk and bike in really close proximity to the road. We have been driving close to home mostly and avoid the high traffic areas and 'round abouts': that's a little too advanced for us right now. We are still hunting around for a car of our own, but in the meantime we are using a loaner graciously lent to us by one of Kim's coworkers.

The pace is completely different here, it takes a really long time to get things done. Finally we have usable internet but it took a while.

There have been some interesting critters about but I won't go into details as I would like folks to visit. But there are giant flying centipedes. Just kidding.
We'll post some more pictures once we get them uploaded.

So in deference to the interesting critters are you using those mesh bed nets while you sleep?

Did you ever see the original version of the "In-Laws" with Peter Falk? Your flying centipede joke reminds me of the scene where he describes the giant tsetse flies in Guatemala. One of my favorite movie scenes ever. There aren't any of those over there, are there?

"Driving on the Left side hasn't been that bad" -- yeah RIGHT.

And as for the critters, I want some photos of them!
